East Chop on the Vineyard is one of the few places on the East Coast where you can see . . .
the sun set off the shore. Vineyard Haven Harbor always has something to entertain you. You can just sit in your rocker and watch the world go by. Huge ferry boats, yachts, little sailboat races, jet skis (boo). The coolest thing is waking up to the fog horns in the early morning. Sometimes that's the best time to read, especially when it's chilly.

Take a cruise down Main Street USA. There are good restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, little shops, interesting people, dogs, no chain stores. Enjoy a quiet afternoon with a friend. Check out St. Elmo's, Barkley Square for your dog, The Purple Goose for your kids, Eight Hands Round for gifts, The Garden Contessa, antique shops ... get the idea? A lot of these guys are staying open on Thursday and Friday evenings this summer, so make it worth it for them. The Evening Star Cafe's great and Los Tios Grill is SO good!
