I'm on my way soon to Martha's Vineyard to see family and catch up on some reading on "The Back Porch" -- which is less than 20 feet from the water on a huge harbor. We sleep in a room that has windows on three sides, so when the wind blows at night and the water is even closer with the tide in you feel like you're on a boat. Love that breeze -- it also keeps away the noseeums, those pesky little creatures that can even make it through the screens. Haven't figured out what their purpose is on Earth, but they must be food for some other creatures. And, as I always tell my favorite person, their mothers love them. I digress. I'm hearing from my friend, PT, who is quite a trip in her own rite (she sells flowers from her farm by the roadside and raises goats) (we went to high school together in State College, PA -- could NEVER stop laughing when we shared classes together, all I had to do was look at her, what an awesome laugh she had and still does -- even better now with that rasp that comes with living life. One time our friend, J, got stung on her face by a bee and her entire head blew up to the size of a large balloon. PT drove her all over town, including to the swimming pool, so everyone could see her. SO funny. (J's fine, by the way.) Oh, yes, I'm hearing from PT that it's supposed to rain all week on the island -- arg on so many levels -- so she wants me to come fluff her farm. HA! A FARM FLUFF!!! I sent her the link to BullyHill (bullyhill.com) that was on my favorite blog, My Notting Hill, and she's already ordered two great goat posters for her family room. I'll let you know how it goes and if she'll let me, I'll send you a picture.
